Hello! My name is "KP." Want to learn how to learn faster?

If you're wanting to effectively learn how to master the material you study, problem-solve and know in an instant how to get through questions and material that you've never seen before, and enjoy the process of learning and studying in whatever subject you dedicate yourself to, you're in the right place. I'll not only help you understand content, but I promise you that you will learn leading edge strategies that, with practice, will put you above the others at whatever you decide to put your mind and muscle toward.

I graduated college magna cum laude with honors in 2006, but the methods I've used for study and public speaking date back thousands of years and have since aided me in nearly any form of academic endeavor. As a tutor, assistant and lead teacher, and activities director to a privately owned intercultural school, I have helped many of my students how to use these methods to becoming masters (instead of slaves) to the subjects they learn.

“Life isn't about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself.”

― George Bernard Shaw

“I just wanted to let you know I finished with a 104% in math this semester and I’m graduating high school in two days! Thank you for literally everything you’ve done for me these past two years. ... Kelsey instilled onto me the love of math, the ability to not give up whenever the going gets tough, and to truly want to understand the material I am presented with. Anyone wondering if they should have Kelsey tutor them in anything, do it. He is a great person, fantastic teacher, and most of all, a friend. Best tutor I have ever had."

— David L. 2018 magnet high school student graduate

"My university required that I take two semesters of Philosophy, Phil 101 and Phil 102. When I started Phil 101 I was very overwhelmed and sought [...] guidance. After working with Kelsey on essays, exam prep, homework questions, and discussion posts for my online class I was able to finish both classes! I got a B+ in Phil 101 and an A- in Phil 102. I would not have felt confident in these classes without the extra help! 100% recommend."

— Pam G., undergraduate student in psychology

"Kelsey did a great job preparing my daughter for the ACT. She had taken the test before and increased her composite score by 2 points after working with him on a weekly basis for two months. He taught her test taking skills and strategies specific to the ACT and mapped out a plan for her to practice at home. If your child implements Kelsey’s plan of action, you can anticipate good results!"

— Emily M., parent of ACT test student

"As a child and family therapist, I regularly work with families who are struggling with communication patterns that no longer work well for them. Kelsey helped me to expand my ability to bring compassionate communication to my sessions, both in the way I held space for clients, and in the way I helped them to hold space for one another. Kelsey brings a non-judgmental and open stance to his work that allowed me to feel welcome bringing any struggles that I was having and to celebrate successes."

Amanda K., child therapist

"Kelsey has done such an amazing job tutoring our daughter in Honors Algebra II this trimester. With his help our daughter finished with an A+ in the class. Would definitely recommend."

— Gay L., parent of high school student

"Kelsey is teaching my daughter College Algebra. She has a hard time in math. Kelsey has been wonderful and patient. She says she feels comfortable asking him questions and he explains it to her in a way that she can understand it. He is also very available to set up lessons on short notice. Sometimes she will have a session with him 2 or 3 times a week before a final exam. My daughter is very pleased with his help. She is going into her sophomore year of college. Highly recommend Kelsey."

— Mary S., parent of college student

"My daughter had one geometry session with Kelsey. Kelsey was well prepared for the lesson, he is completely professional and quickly identifies the student's needs and has a very structured approach to tutoring. He starts every concept from the basics and gets to the needed level of the student. He is very knowledgeable and great working with the student. I would definitely recommend him for other student and I am willing to approach Kelsey for my daughter’s future classes."

— Karina B., parent of high school student

"Kelsey gave many useful suggestions to make my paper stronger, and he also checked for my grammar mistakes. His philosophy background gave a plus for his review's accuracy. Great learning experience."

— Christy Z., undergraduate student in sociology

PRAXIS II

Let me share a letter I recently received from a parent of an online student I've worked with for over 9 months...

"I just wanted to thank you so much for everything you have done for Megan. This has been a really hard topic for her, College Algebra, and she has tried hard and struggled hard with it. You have been absolutely awesome. Megan loves working with you. She said amidst her difficulty you always make her laugh. You give her such inspiration to keep trying and wishing her luck, giving her tips on how to be calm for her tests. You take a special interest in your students and that says a lot about you not only as a teacher/tutor, but as a person. You give her so much information on the subject and are willing to take the time to help her by reviewing her work as well. You have been really available when she needed one session after the next, several days in a row, getting ready for a big test. [...] We will be calling upon you again. She still has to pass statistics. Thanks for all your inspiration to her last night and this morning. A very pleased mom."
